OleumTech Continues to Enhance Its Portfolio of Wireless Solutions with New Patent for WIO® System

FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif., December 8, 2014 – OleumTech™, (www.oleumtech.com), a leading manufacturer of wireless industrial automation systems, today announced it has been granted patent no.: US 8,811,459 B1 by the US Patent Office for its WIO® System. This wireless input/output (I/O) solution is designed to replicate hardwire process signals (discrete, 4-20 mA, and 0-10 V) for any industrial process monitoring or control application. Deployment of the WIO System is fast and easy and requires no software configuration.

The newly patented WIO System is the latest addition to OleumTech’s family of wireless solutions. The radios come paired from factory, enabling a system that is virtually plug and play. OleumTech customers also can customize their I/O needs by adding up to 16 pairs of any I/O module equipped with both inputs and outputs for a paired radio set. Available in the 900 MHz or 2.4 GHZ ISM band, it provides fail-safe protection by putting outputs into a failsafe mode defined by user when the system detects either radio frequency (RF) or I/O failure or interruption. WIO System is AES encrypted and provides near real-time data accessibility.
