Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gas is a hazardous substance often found in crude oil, natural gas, and other petroleum products that poses significant risks, requiring continuous monitoring to ensure worker safety and regulatory compliance. H2S can be a byproduct of the reining process, typically during the desulfurization of fuels. Due to the extreme toxicity of the gas, careful management and monitoring of H2S levels is required to ensure safety.

OleumTech offers a scalable H2S gas detection solution, allowing operators to strategically install H2S nodes in specific areas where the gas may be present. These nodes continuously monitor the air for H2S, triggering alarms if levels exceed safe limits. This highly scalable solution provides operators with maximum flexibility to accommodate any refinery size and layout. For hard-to-reach areas where running conduit and wire is challenging, the battery-powered, self-contained wireless transmitter is ideal. Meanwhile, the hardwired version with Modbus output is suitable for areas adjacent to SCADA systems with easy access to external power.
