Foothill Ranch, CA, August 13, 2014 – OleumTech® begins shipping the WIO® System: an ultra-fast, bi-directional wireless I/O system for replacing industrial hardwired applications.  The system requires no software configuration, making it extremely easy to use.

The WIO System is designed for rapid deployment by eliminating the need for trenching and running wires. This hardwire replacement system can help operators save drastic amount of time and installation cost while providing reliable, accurate, and high-resolution signal replication.  WIO System consists of a Radio Kit (900 MHz or 2.4 GHz) that can be used with Digital, 4-20 mA, and 0-10 V I/O Modules for replicating signals over-the-air.  All I/O Modules provide field isolated inputs and outputs.  The Radio Kit supports and powers up to sixteen pairs of I/O Modules in any combination, providing the ultimate flexibility in I/O expansion.  This wireless system provides secure AES encrypted RF communication and provides 1 second or faster response time for near real-time data accessibility.

WIO System features FailSafe output modes in case either RF or I/O failure occurs. Each output can independently be defined.  For example, digital outputs can be set to turn on, off, or report last known value. The analog outputs can be set to any value on the scale.  In addition, the WIO System provides an Advanced User Interface for PC that enables users to test RF strength, view I/O status, force local outputs and much more.

“The WIO System is the answer to reliable, low-cost I/O mirroring solution that can be deployed in only a couple of hours.  By supporting inputs and outputs on both ends of the radio network, it provides lots of flexibility and scalability at the best value/performance combination,” said Colin Lippincott, VP Sales of OleumTech.
